According to the Ministry of Communications, seventeen firms have now shown an interest, including local and international ones.
Deputy Minister of communication Ato Sarpong stated that the government hopes to appoint a new vendor by 20 March. He said the advertisement says that it wants the roll-out to be executed in twelve months from the date of the award, which is expected to be done at the latest by 01 April, with a deadline of executing the project in nine months.
He stressed that the Ministry of Communication was optimistic that Ghana will by the close of this year fully migrate to the DTT platform.
