Samsung has unveiled its latest device at Mobile World Congress 2015
(MWC), the Samsung Galaxy S6. According to Samsung its latest device has
the following features:
The Samsung Galaxy S6 comes with a 5.1-inch Super Amoled display.
While the display is the same size as its predecessor, the resolution is
essentially 1.8 times higher at 1440 x 2560 pixels. The device is
powered by a Exynos 7 64-bit processor, which combines a low-power 1.5
GHz quad core with a faster 2.1 GHz quad-core processor.
The Android -based 5.0 device comes with 3 GB RAM and either 32, 64
or 128 GB internal storage. Samsung also revealed that the device
features an upgraded version of Samsung’s TouchWiz user interface.
When it comes to cameras, the Galaxy S6 packs in a rear 16 megapixel
camera, with optical image stabilisation, and a 5 megapixel front facing
camera. In addition to this, the S6 comes with an improved fingerprint
scanner, LTE CAt.6 at up to 300Mbps, 2,600 mAh non-removable battery,
WPC and PMA wireless charging, and support for Samsung’s new mobile
payments service, launching later this year.
The phone will launch 10 April, dependent of the territory, in a
choice of white, black, gold and blue models. The alternative Galaxy S6
Edge will also be available in green. This version of the S6 features a
display that curves along both edges of the phone. Its specifications
are otherwise identical to the standard S6.
