Gov't website www.ghana.gov.gh has been hacked. This was confirmed by Deputy Minister of Communication, Ato Sarpong on Citi Breakfast Show today, Wednesday, January 2015. Aside the Government of Ghana website, other websites belonging to state agencies have been backed as well.
These are the affected website: Ministry of Communication - www.moc.gov.gh, Scholarhip Secretariat - www.scholarships.gov.gh, Ministry of Water Resources, Works and Housing - www.mwrwh.gov.gh, Ghana Navy - www.navy.mil.gh, National Service Scheme - www.nss.gov.gh, School Feeding Programme - www.schoolingfeeding.gov.gh
Other websites were hacked but have been successfully restored. These include: Ministry of Foreign Affairs - www.mfa.gov.gh, Non-Formal Education Division of GES - www.nfed.gov.gh, Ghana Irrigation Development Authority (GIDA) - www.gida.gov.gh.
